Best View In Nz Lodge Attendant

Seasonal Lodge Attendant based at stunning Lake Pukaki, near Twizel and Aoraki/Mt Cook from August through until at least mid  April 2027. One position only unfortunately we don't have an extra role for couples.

We are looking for a friendly, professional Lodge Attendant to work in a boutique 5 star, off-grid lodge on the shores of Lake Pukaki. We think this is a pretty good place to work with all day views over Lake Pukaki up to Aoraki/Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. We have a great team here and want you to enjoy your time at work.

 While the start date is slightly flexible, we are looking for someone who is available to start mid August in a full time role through until at least mid April 2027 with an option to extend the position. We can guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week which still allows you time to explore the region on your days off - Aoraki/Mt Cook, Lake Tekapo, Wanaka, Queenstown and Christchurch are all day trips from here. 

We are looking for someone with experience in hospitality and customer service. Ideally applicants will have previous experience in 5-star properties. A hospitality qualification if preferred but not essential. Applicants must be reliable, professional and physically fit with great interpersonal skills.

 Duties include: 

• Welcoming and hosting guests
• Breakfast and dinner service
• Housekeeping guest rooms
• Guest check ins and check outs
• Assisting with administrative tasks eg bookings and invoicing
• Beverage service

 The role will involve some split shifts eg 07:30 - 12:30 then 18:00 - 21:30 and some shifts 1pm - 21:30 (approximately). Applicants must be prepared to work evenings and weekends. This role is for applicants that are legally entitled to live and work in New Zealand. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and a legal right to drive in NZ. Accommodation available in Twizel a 10 minute drive away. $210 per week for a room including power and internet, right in the middle of town
