Factory Worker / Kitchen Hand

We’re looking for hardworking and reliable Factory Workers and Kitchen Hands to join our busy team at the Fairlie Bakehouse.

We’re a vibrant, multicultural team with staff from all around the world, and we’re always excited to welcome someone new.

Factory Workers:

• Ingredient and food preparation
• Filling and marking pies
• Monitoring baking times and temperatures
• Packing products for storage and transport
• General cleaning

Kitchen Hands:

• Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning and sanitising work areas
• Restocking
• Assisting with food preparation and general kitchen duties

These are active, hands-on roles, so you’ll need to be reasonably fit and comfortable working in a busy environment.

• Immediate start available
• Full-time, paid positions
• Minimum 3-month commitment
• Time-and-a-half on public holidays
• Rostered days off each week, giving you plenty of time to explore
• Help connecting with local accommodation providers

Previous experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential – we’re looking for a positive attitude, good work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.

Fairlie is a great base for exploring the South Island, with Lake Tekapo, Aoraki/Mt Cook, Wānaka and Queenstown all within easy reach.
