Chef Pastry Chef Or Baker

We’re looking for an experienced Chef, Pastry Chef or Baker to join our friendly, busy team at the Fairlie Bakehouse.

We’re a vibrant, multicultural team with staff from all around the world, and we’re always happy to welcome someone new.

Depending on your experience, your role could involve preparing and cooking our gourmet pie fillings, making and rolling pastry, and ingredient preparation, and/or working alongside our bakery team producing breads, cakes and sweet treats. We’re open to different skill sets, so you don’t need experience in all areas.

• Immediate start available
• Full-time, paid position
• Potential for longer-term opportunities for the right candidate
• Time-and-a-half pay on public holidays
• Rostered days off each week, giving you plenty of time to explore
• Help connecting with local accommodation providers

You’ll need relevant qualifications or proven commercial experience, along with a good work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.

Fairlie is a great base for exploring the South Island, with Lake Tekapo, Aoraki/Mt Cook, Wānaka and Queenstown all within easy reach.
