• It's Spring, it's early, it's real farm work. Often in the cold and dark. Days run 10–12 hours.
• It's Dirty. Poo, pee, effluent, chemical smells — this is dairy farming, and it's part of the job every single day.
• It's Hard: on your feet all day, in all weather, 
• The first 2–3 weeks are the hardest.
  •  your body is building strength and stamina it doesn't have yet. 
  • expect to be tired — that's normal, not a sign you're failing.
