Forklift Operators

Looking for work while travelling around New Zealand? We have multiple forklift operator opportunities available at a leading dairy and nutrition manufacturing facility in Canterbury.

Our client is a well-established New Zealand dairy and nutrition company with a modern processing facility and a busy manufacturing and warehousing operation.

You'll be part of a busy team helping keep products and materials moving throughout the facility. This is hands-on work in a manufacturing environment where safety, teamwork and reliability are important.

Your duties may include:

• Operating a forklift to move pallets of finished products, raw materials and packaging.
• Loading and unloading trucks and moving stock around the warehouse.
• Supplying production teams with packaging and materials.
• Moving finished products from production areas into storage and dispatch.
• Stacking and retrieving pallets and assisting with stock movements.
• Helping prepare products for dispatch and keeping work areas tidy.
• Following site health and safety, hygiene and food safety procedures.

Previous forklift experience is essential, and you'll need a current, suitable forklift licence or certificate. Your duties will vary depending on the department.

There are different shift patterns available, including:

• 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off – regular blocks of time off to explore New Zealand.
• Rotating weekday shifts – Monday to Friday mornings one week, followed by Monday to Friday afternoon shifts the next week.

Roster options depend on the position available, so let us know what works best for you.

• Have previous forklift operating experience and a current, suitable forklift licence or certificate.
• Hold valid New Zealand work rights for the proposed employment.
• Are reliable, safety-conscious and ready to get stuck in.

• Can commit to the agreed contract period and roster.
• Are happy working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
