Looking for summer work in Auckland? We’re looking for friendly, energetic people to join the Good Planet team in Kumeū for our busy summer season.

These are combined roles, with team members working across strawberry picking, hospitality, retail and customer service, depending on the day and where you’re needed.

It’s a great opportunity if you enjoy variety, meeting people and don’t mind getting outdoors and helping in the strawberry fields.

About Good Planet

Good Planet is a family-owned visitor destination in Kumeū, bringing together pick-your-own strawberries, food, retail, outdoor attractions and seasonal experiences.

Our brand-new visitor centre and expanded attractions are opening for the 2026/27 summer season, and we’re building a great seasonal team to help us through our busiest time of year.

Good Planet is also home to Best Berries, one of New Zealand’s leading strawberry growers.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the day, your work may include:

• Strawberry picking and packing
• Serving customers in our café and retail areas
• Making and serving real fruit ice creams
• Cashier and retail duties
• Assisting customers in our PYO strawberry fields
• Helping with our visitor attractions and activities
• General farm and visitor-site duties
• Pitching in wherever the team needs an extra hand

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, outgoing people who enjoy working with customers
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Reliable and hardworking team members
• Comfortable working outdoors and doing physical work
• Happy to work across different roles rather than doing the same job every day
• Previous hospitality, retail, customer service or horticultural experience is an advantage
• Good English and communication skills
• Availability throughout the busy summer season

As one of our busiest periods is over the holidays, you must be available to work weekends and public holidays, including the Christmas and New Year period.
