Design Studio Assistant 

Starting end of September and ending 20th December - possibility of extension for the right person and depending on workload

We’re a small, interior design studio looking for an awesome person to join us for the rest of the year

This is a varied support role and would suit someone who is friendly, confident with people, organised and happy to turn their hand to whatever needs doing. You don’t need to be an interior designer — although an interest in interiors would be a bonus!

A big part of the role is simply being a friendly face in the studio, welcoming clients and suppliers, answering the phone and helping us keep things running smoothly while a team member is away.

What you'll be doing:

• Greeting clients, suppliers and visitors to the studio
• Answering phone calls and taking clear, accurate messages
• Responding to straightforward emails and enquiries
• General administration and studio support
• Helping with samples, filing, organising and tidying
• Completing some repetitive or mundane jobs — there will definitely be a few!
• Being proactive and finding useful things to do when things are quiet

You’ll need to be:

• Super friendly, approachable and confident with people
• Able to speak and write clear, concise English
• Comfortable with basic mathematics and calculations
• Reliable and organised
• Happy doing repetitive tasks as well as more interesting ones
• Able to work independently and keep yourself busy without needing constant direction
• Comfortable using a computer, email and general office software
• Willing to learn and help wherever needed

Bonus points if you:

• Have an interest in interior design, architecture or creative industries
• Have any experience with SketchUp
• Have experience with digital rendering or other design software

Hours of work would be 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Starting date:  28th September
