Akaroa TOP 10 Holiday Park, nestled above the stunning Akaroa Village and Harbour, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant team. We are seeking a skilled Carpenter or Builder to assist with targeted maintenance and repair work on our holiday park caravans and accommodation units. If you have solid structural skills, sharp attention to detail, and experience with timber framing, cladding, or light vehicle/caravan repairs, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and replace damaged framing, exterior cladding, and internal cabinetry.
• Address water ingress, dry rot, and timber decay around windows, roofs, and door frames.
• Reseal seams, roof joins, and exterior flashing to ensure weather tightness.
• Install light fixtures, trim, hardware, and interior panelling.
• Coordinate with management to ensure work meets safety standards and project deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in Carpentry/Building or equivalent hands-on experience in caravan, boat, or tiny-home restoration.
• Proficiency with power tools, sealing materials, and light structural framing.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, common-sense approach to non-standard structures.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on-site.
• Valid driver’s licence and be able to work in New Zealand legally.
