We have an incredible opportunity to join our amazing team at Driftaway Queenstown! We are currently looking for a full-time receptionist. This role will require someone warm, friendly & confident; welcoming guests to Driftaway for both their accommodation and hot tub sessions. Our teams help across multiple departments, so you will also need to give a helping hand to our housekeepers when required. The role is a guaranteed 35-38 per week. Please advise your availability, of when you able to commit from in your application & commitment length. We look forward to hearing from you! This role is starting from mid August 2026, we require a minimum 6 month commitment.
The Role: Our reception team will be our customers first interaction with Driftaway Queenstown. You will be responsible for ensuring all customers have an exceptional first impression. This will be achieved by offering warm, friendly, and most importantly, helpful service to our customers. To be successful in this role you will need to be excellent at multi-tasking, kind and capable of a wipe the slate clean mentality throughout your day.
Receptionist: Responsible for always delivering an exceptional guest experience. Reception duties include, welcoming guests, checking in customers, managing bookings, answering phone calls, replying to emails & managing guest enquiries. Multitasking & attention to the small details are essential.
Housekeeping: Responsible for ensuring our rooms and facility hub are spotlessly clean at all times. Duties include, ensuring our facility hub and communal areas are presentable & clean at all times.
Hot Tubs: Responsible for ensuring our hot tubs are spotlessly clean at all times. Checking in & welcoming our hot tubs customers. Duties include, cleaning of our hot tubs & water quality control between guests. Cleaning of changing & bathroom area.
Shifts: Are afternoons and evenings, between the hours of 11am-8:45pm. The role require availability over a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
About you:
- Previous experience in customer service and front line roles preferrable, however, full training will be provided to the right person.
- Attention to detail when it comes to booking systems, guest experience & cleanliness.
- Good initiative, personal presentation, and the ability to work independently or in a team
- Excellent personal presentation, warm and friendly approach to welcome our guests.
- A willingness to carry out various daily tasks as required.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Minimum 6 month commitment to the role.
Accommodation: We have a 1 bedroom fully furnished self-contained unit available. Weekly Rent (Including power and WiFi) is $275 for a single and $400 for a couple.
