Housekeeping All-Rounder – Cairns Alpine Resort & Golf Club

Location: Lake Tekapo, New Zealand
Hours: 30+ hours per week (including weekends)
Accommodation: Private room available in a shared house (single occupancy)

Are you looking for a role that combines hospitality with an incredible alpine lifestyle? We are a boutique accommodation provider looking after 12 units owned by local farmers in the heart of beautiful Lake Tekapo, surrounded by the Southern Alps and some of New Zealand's most spectacular scenery. We have a golf course and animal feeding for our guests which of course, you can enjoy too.

We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Housekeeping All-Rounder to join our small, friendly team.

This is a physically demanding role that involves a high volume of cleaning, heavy lifting, and manual work. A good level of physical fitness is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning guest accommodation to a high standard.
• Cleaning and maintaining shared areas throughout the business.
• Making beds, servicing rooms, and restocking supplies.
• Heavy lifting and moving linen, cleaning equipment, and other items as required.
• Assisting with guest check-ins, answering guest enquiries, and providing friendly customer service.
• Being the on-call contact for guest enquiries and emergencies two nights per week.
• Assisting with groundswork and golf bookings as required.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks throughout the day.
• Be able to work independently and use initiative.
• Have good English communication skills.
• Have basic customer service and computer skills.
• Hold a full New Zealand driver's licence. This role is based in a small alpine community, so it's best suited to someone who also has their own personal vehicle.

We offer paid accommodation for the right candidate (private room in a shared house).

• Valid New Zealand work visa.
• Full New Zealand driver's licence.
