Barista & Front of House All-Rounder | Summer Peak Season
Location: Opoutere Coastal Camping, The Coromandel Peninsula
Term: Fixed-term (December to mid/late February 2027)
Hours: Approx. 30 hours per week
Pay: $25.00 per hour + 8% holiday pay

Opoutere Coastal Camping is a beautiful, private campground nestled in the Coromandel Peninsula. We are looking for an energetic, experienced Barista to join our team for the busy summer season. You will be the friendly face of our bustling campground hub, which combines our reception, cafe, and store.

While making exceptional coffee is your primary focus, you will be a true all-rounder—stepping in to assist with store sales and basic reception tasks to keep things running smoothly during quieter periods.

What you will be doing:

• Crafting top-tier coffees quickly and efficiently for our busy morning rushes.
• Welcoming guests with genuine warmth, making campers from all walks of life feel right at home.
• Managing store transactions and assisting with basic campground check-ins and guest enquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and inviting hub environment.

What we are looking for:

• Solid barista experience with a strong knowledge of New Zealand coffee culture and standards. (Note: We serve takeaway coffees only, so speed and consistency are key—latte art is not required!).
• A vibrant, people-loving personality who thrives in a social, fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and initiative to jump between making coffee, handling retail sales, and helping at reception.
• Reliable availability from December through to mid-to-late February.
