On the Shores of Lake Ohau nestled on 10 hectares is a 72 room Alpine Lodge. The owners have created an amazing recipe that has stood the test of time. Generation after generation return over winter to unwind and ski/board their hearts out. Summer is no slouch either, with the lodge being a prime stop for the Alps to Ocean cycle trail.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have a memorable experience during their stay, by leading the team of restaurant team members and managing the day to day running of breakfast, lunch and dinner services.

We have the perfect opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career… Come on board now and learn Lake Ohau Lodge in position of Assisitant Supervisor - take on the knowledge from our Supervisor with the goal of taking over in Decemebr when she leaves. 

Weekly hours fluctuate based on the season and events. 30-40 Autumn and Spring and our main seasons of Summer and Winter 40-50. 
Minimum commitment is until end of April 2027.

Responsibilities:

Readiness

• restaurant is ready to welcome guests
• back of house is ready to serve guests
• advance roster preperation and planning
• stock control support

Guests

• aiming to exceed guest expectations
• managing the floor and guests querries or complaints
• serving guests during meal periods
• coffee and tea service
• cleaning and clearing

Staff

• train train train 
• encourage and support
• delegrate daily duties

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

• Ready to roll up your sleeve with a can do attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and staying calm under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• LCQ and manager certificates highly sort after
