About the Role

We are looking for a Housekeeper / Front of House Team Member to join the Grand Hotel team.

This is a mixed role and is suited to someone who is comfortable moving between housekeeping duties and working in our bar and restaurant. You will need to understand that this is not a housekeeping-only position — you will be expected to work across both areas depending on the needs of the business.

The successful applicant will have previous bar experience, be confident serving customers, and enjoy working in a busy hospitality environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping

• Clean and service guest rooms and shared hotel areas to a high standard.
• Make beds, change linen and replenish amenities.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.
• Identify and report maintenance issues or damaged items.
• Work efficiently to ensure rooms are ready for guests on time.
• Follow all cleaning, health and safety procedures.

Front of House / Bar

• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and customers.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages.
• Bar experience is essential, including confidently preparing and serving drinks.
• Operate the POS and handle payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented bar and FOH area.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Support the wider team during busy service periods.

What We're Looking For

• Previous bar and hospitality experience is essential.
• Experience in housekeeping or hotel cleaning is preferred, but training can be provided to the right person.
• Comfortable working across both housekeeping and FOH.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• High standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Friendly, confident and guest-focused.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Flexible and willing to help wherever needed.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Available to work a mixture of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Important

This is a genuinely mixed position. The successful applicant must be happy to undertake both housekeeping and Front of House/bar duties. The balance of the role may vary depending on occupancy, bookings and the operational needs of the Grand Hotel.
