Farm Assistant

Farm hand to assist with day-to-day sheep and cattle farm operations on small farm in the Tasman district.  Whilst we prefer an applicant who has prior experience working with sheep and cattle, occasionally we can consider an applicant who has relevant skills, and most importantly, the right attitude.  You must speak good English and be a good communicator and enjoy working outdoors.

You will be practical, physically fit, handy with tools and not afraid of getting your hands dirty.  Ideally, you will have experience with ATVs, tractors, chainsaws and other agricultural equipment. Apart from assisting with a variety of farm tasks, jobs are varied, ranging from assisting with stock work, shearing, fence repairs, tree planting, weed spraying, all depending on requirements and time of year. Applicants with additional skills like carpentry, construction, painting, or similar are welcome to apply.
