Lodge Assistant

Hi!

We are on the hunt for some fun, energetic people to help out around the Lodge in a work for accommodation swap.

We are an International Worker’s Hostel with an eco-friendly twist. Our community and lodge is laid back
and welcoming, a sprawling haven located close to everything.

Work is low key, depending on your skills and what you are interested in. Seven hours a week will cover
your accommodation (shared cabin between 2), with time left over to either explore or work on your
travel bank (there is a lot of seasonal work in Hastings), and even better we may be able to help you find
it! We have limited paid opportunities at the lodge as well, which we are happy to discuss.

Duties for accommodation swap include -

Housekeeping - cleaning communal facilities and rooms
Grounds – weeding, mowing, gardening, planting.
Maintenance – washing buildings, painting, clearing gutters etc.
Firewood – moving wood, chipping, splitting.

We have limited positions and would suit couples or singles (shared accommodation), with a working holiday visa and minimum 2
month commitment.
