Shore Support Role

Position Title: Support Role for Doubtful Sound Kayak, Southern Secret Cruise & Tracknet Transport

Location: Te Anau

Employment Type: Part time (approx. 20 hours per a week)

Shore Support Crew – Fiordland (Seasonal) Join our small Fiordland team supporting Doubtful Sound Kayak, Fiordland Cruises and Tracknet. This is a hands-on role keeping our gear, supplies and vehicles in top shape so our guides can deliver unforgettable experiences.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

🛶 Kayak Operations:

• Washing, drying, and storing wetsuits and gear
• Checking gear for damage and organising repair
• Ensuring adequate quantities of gear is ready for tours
• Keeping the kayak shed clean and well-stocked
• Refilling daily provisions for guided trips
• Liaising with kayak guides to anticipate operational needs

🛥️ Southern Secret Overnight Cruise:

• Organising shopping and restocking dry and fresh provisions
• Ordering and delivering food, linen and cleaning supplies
• Coordinating with the boat crew on store needs
• Driving to the local supermarket to purchase food and ensuring all supplies are of a high standard.
• Being available to clean vessels as required

🚌 Tracknet Vehicle Cleaning:

• Cleaning and tidying our Tracknet buses
• Restocking supplies (rubbish bags, cleaning products, etc.)
• Notifying the team of any maintenance issues
• Managing the cleaning supplies & pickup supplies around town

• Detail-oriented and takes pride in a job well done
• Flexible with hours and happy to jump in where needed
• Able to manage roles and see jobs through to completion
• Must have a current driver’s licence and be a confident driver
