Vineyard Worker Growing Season

Seeking a team of fixed-term workers to assist with the growing season at Te Kano Estate's Waitaki Valley vineyard for period Tuesday 27th October – Thursday 24th December. Previous experience preferred but not a deal breaker. 

Discounted accommodation included at a fixed weekly cost deducted from pay.

Tasks:

• Shoot thinning
• Bud rubbing
• Wire lifting
• Leaf plucking
• Other vineyard /landscaping tasks as required
• Some winery work: Bottling, labelling, packaging

The deal:

• $25.00/hr + 8% holiday pay
• Standard 8hr workdays, 32hr minimum weeks, Monday-Sunday with flexibility. Weather and other vineyard operations will affect work hours
• All training provided
• All tools provided
• Bring your own work boots

The right candidates will:

• Be legally permitted to work in New Zealand
• Have their own reliable vehicle or means of arriving to Kurow independently
• Be physically fit, able to carry out repetitive outdoor work to a high standard
• Have a good attitude and attention to detail, able to follow ongoing instruction
• Have previous experience in a horticultural or viticultural role

• Premium wine: Quality is paramount. High standard of work is expected
• Fully operational winery: Some bottling, labelling and packaging work is expected

• House is onsite - no commute required
• 5 bedrooms, each with bedding and heater
