Holdens Bay Holiday Park is located just 10 minutes from Rotorua city centre and close to many of Rotorua’s best attractions. We offer a range of self-contained units, cabins, powered camping sites and an Airbnb property.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual or couple to join our team as Housekeepers. This is a hands-on role suited to people who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a team and are happy to contribute to keeping a busy holiday park clean, tidy and welcoming.

Applicants must be available to start as soon as possible and commit to a minimum of 6 months.
 

About the Role
Housekeepers are an integral part of our team and are responsible for helping keep the holiday park clean, tidy, welcoming and well maintained.

The role is focused on housekeeping, with daily tasks including:

• Cleaning guest rooms, cabins and communal facilities to a high standard
• Making beds and preparing accommodation for incoming guests
• Processing and folding laundry
• Keeping communal areas clean, hygienic and presentable
• Maintaining tidy grounds and outdoor areas
• Assisting with general cleaning and day-to-day tasks around the holiday park

Cleaning must be completed thoroughly and efficiently within the required timeframes, particularly during busy periods and guest changeovers.
 

The Ideal Candidates
We are looking for individuals or a couple who are:

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Responsible, hardworking and reliable
• Friendly and able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working independently and following instructions
• Organised, with excellent attention to detail
• Proud of the standard of their work
• Happy to undertake cleaning duties as a regular part of their daily work
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, physically active environment
• Willing to live on-site
• Available to commit to a minimum of 6 months

Previous hospitality experience, particularly in housekeeping, accommodation or commercial cleaning, is a strong advantage. However, we are happy to consider applicants from other backgrounds who demonstrate the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
 

Schedule

• Casual position
• Up to 5 days per week, depending on occupancy and operational requirements
• Fluctuating hours, generally between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm
• At least 2 days off each week
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Minimum 6-month commitment required

Living on-site is a requirement of the position. Applicants must be comfortable living in a powered site and using the shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
