Chopping Board Resurfacing Tour2026

I am looking for someone to come on a road trip with me in October 2026. The road trip business can be found at and basically it services large chopping boards for mainly supermarkets but also some restaurants, seafood outlets etc around the Auckland region year around, with one national trip which covers everywhere south of Auckland as far as Dunedin in the South Island and both coasts normally, finshing back in Auckland.

It takes between 3 to 4 weeks, depending on bookings and covers around 4000kms from Auckland as far as Dunedin and back again. The exact time we would be away will be known once the trip is fully planned. We work at each job and then move to the next one. Outside of the main centres we are driving/chatting/listening to music/enjoying the scenery about 40 to 50% of time and working the rest.

You need to be at least 5'5" tall as you have to lift the boards over the machine using the rollers and reasonably strong, its manual work. I have taken someone who was 5'3" and it was really hard for her to lift the boards over the machine, which is a main part of the job. You need to be fluent in english, not necessarily first language but we talk alot when we drive and also I will give instructions to you in english. Spainsh is a bouns as I am learning it but not necessary.

All the training you need will be given on the Sunday the 4th of October and we will leave Monday the 5th of October. The Pay would be minimum wage of $23.95/hr a standard 8 hour day is normal, with an hour for lunch so 7 hours worked.

We stay in hotels and share a room or with family like in wellington, so its better suited for a male rather than a female, although I have taken females before. The weekends are free and we normally are in Wellington for the first weekend and queenstown for the second and for the third around tauranga.

I have been doing this 14 years and have taken lots of travellers with me. Its always been a great trip, lots of fun outside work, you get a brief taste of alot of New Zealand and then you can go back later in your trip to see it in more deeply.
