We are seeking Korean, Japanese and Chinese-speaking event interpreters to support guests at an automotive drive event in New Zealand, between 21st and 28th October 2026.

This is a casual event role and formal translation accreditation is not required, however applicants must be fluent and confident communicating in both English and their nominated language.

The primary role is to sit alongside the lead driving instructor in the lead vehicle and interpret driving instructions from English into Korean, Japanese or Chinese, communicating these instructions via radio to guest vehicles travelling in convoy.

You will also provide general language support during lunches and dinners, assisting guests with menu selections, dietary requirements and general communication where required.

You should be confident speaking clearly over radio communications and comfortable working in a professional, guest-facing environment.

Each language group requires ~20 hours of support across three days, comprising:

• Welcome dinner - approximately 2.5 hours
• Drive Day 1 - approximately 7 hours
• Dinner - approximately 2.5 hours
• Drive Day 2 - approximately 7 hours
• Farewell dinner - approximately 2.5 hours

Languages required: Korean, Japanese and Chinese

Rate: NZ$35 per hour
Location: Queenstown

Automotive knowledge is helpful but not essential. A briefing will be provided prior to the event.
