Payment: Accommodation & Paid ($30per hr + Fully furnished Accommodation)
Location: Ross
Region: West Coast
Experience: Experience Necessary
Listing Added: 20/08/2026
Company: Ross Beach Top10 Holiday Park

Live & work on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand
Ross Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park is looking for an experienced, energetic and practical management couple to join us for an 8-month fixed-term position, commencing October 2026 and finishing 1 June 2027.

This is not a traditional hotel management role. Ross Beach is a small, boutique holiday park where every day is different. You'll be involved in guests, accommodation, reservations, housekeeping, grounds, maintenance, staff coordination and the many unexpected things that come with running a busy holiday park.If you enjoy variety, love people and like being hands-on, this could be a very good fit.

About Ross Beach:
We are a boutique beachfront holiday park on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island, close to the historic gold-mining town of Ross and the West Coast Wilderness Cycle Trail. We offer a mix of powered and unpowered sites, self-contained accommodation and boutique glamping, with a strong focus on guest experience, presentation and providing something a little different. We're small enough that management is genuinely hands-on — you will know your guests, your team and your property.

The position:
We're looking for a couple who can work together as a management team, with complementary skills and a genuine interest in holiday park operations. We need people who are happy to get involved rather than sit behind a desk.
• Day-to-day operation of the holiday park
• Guest arrivals, departures and enquiries
• Reservations and guest communications via Newbook, email and other channels
• Accommodation presentation and housekeeping coordination
• Grounds and property maintenance
• Staff coordination and daily rostering
• Guest problem solving and service recovery
• Monitoring presentation and cleanliness throughout the park
• Stock and operational purchasing
• Health & safety and general compliance
• Working with contractors and suppliers
• Onsite wood-fired pizza service with off-licence facilities
• Helping wherever the business needs you

There is plenty of scope for someone with good ideas and initiative to improve systems, guest experience and the way the park operates.

Who we're looking for:
Previous holiday park, tourist park or resort management experience is essential.
We're looking for couples who understand the breadth of holiday park operations and are comfortable working across guest services, accommodation, staff coordination, property, grounds and the day-to-day demands of a busy tourism business.
You don't need to have identical skills. In fact, we'd rather have complementary skills.

Perhaps one of you is stronger in:
• guest services and reservations
• administration and organisation
• revenue and commercial operations
• staff coordination

while the other is more:
• practical and hands-on
• maintenance focused
• grounds/property experienced
• mechanically minded
A great combination of skills, attitude and practical ability is more important to us than having identical CVs.

We're looking for people who:
• genuinely enjoy working with guests
• are comfortable living and working in a small, remote community
• can work independently and use their initiative
• are organised and reliable
• are happy to get their hands dirty
• can deal calmly with the unexpected
• take pride in presentation
• understand that holiday parks are a seven-day operation
• enjoy variety rather than needing every day to look the same
Most importantly, we're looking for people who can say:
“Yes, I actually like this sort of job.”

Remuneration & hours:
Both positions are salaried. The roles provide for a combined 80 hours per week across the management couple, with the couple able to organise their working hours between them according to operational requirements, seasonal demand and the needs of the business.
The park operates seven days a week, and additional hours may be required at busy times. The exact division of hours between the couple will be agreed through the roster and may vary depending on occupancy, weather and operational requirements.
The onsite wood-fired pizza and off-licence operation may be managed separately during the season, depending on the final operating arrangements, including the possibility of additional staff or a third-party operator.

Accommodation:
A fully furnished one-bedroom house is available at $250 per week, including electricity, water and
gas. Sky TV is available for an additional $125 per month.

What happens after 8 months?
The initial position is for 8 months. For the right people, there may be an opportunity to discuss longer-term employment at the end of the contract. For a suitable candidate who wishes to remain in New Zealand longer term, we may be able to provide support for an AEWV application at a later stage, subject to eligibility and the requirements of Immigration New Zealand.

Life on the West Coast:
Ross is a small historic West Coast community surrounded by rainforest, mountains, rivers, beaches and some spectacular outdoor opportunities. The West Coast Wilderness Trail passes through Ross Beach, and the region offers excellent opportunities for cycling, hiking, fishing, exploring and getting outdoors. This is not city life.It is a chance to live somewhere different, become part of a small community and experience New Zealand beyond the usual tourist route.

How to apply:
Please send CVs for both applicants, together with a short cover letter explaining:
• Your previous holiday park, tourism, accommodation or management experience
• What each of you would bring to the role
• Why you think you would work well as a management couple
• Your availability
• Confirmation that both applicants have the legal right to work in New Zealand for the duration of the position

Please apply as a couple — we are looking for the combined skill set, not simply two individual
applicants.
