About the Role

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a collaborative team. We're looking for someone with practical farming or trade experience who is confident operating tractors and farm machinery, and who has strong fencing skills. Experience with irrigation, drainage and light building work would also be highly regarded. You'll work across a variety of farm activities, helping maintain our property, infrastructure and growing operations while supporting the wider team as required.

  • Confidence operating tractors and farm machinery.

  • Irrigation, drainage or light building experience (advantageous).
  • A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions.
  • A current New Zealand or International driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and during peak seasonal periods.
  • Horticultural experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, family-owned business where no two days are the same. You'll work in a supportive team environment, enjoy a varied outdoor role, and have opportunities for training and development as Best Berries continues to grow.
