THE ROLE 

We're after a switched-on, hardworking Fleet Automotive Technician to join our busy Auckland Airport team, starting as soon as possible.

You'll bring solid mechanical expertise and a hands-on, get-it-right approach to repairing and building things well. As part of a small team, you'll be a true all-rounder — happy to turn your hand to whatever the day needs to keep our fleet running and our customers happy.

Work rights: you'll need current NZ work rights to apply (working holiday visa welcome provided you have 12 months+ on your visa) — we're not able to sponsor this role.
 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Scheduled servicing (oil, filters, fluids, brakes, etc) across our four van types
• Diagnosing and logging issues, and planning repairs — both mechanical and fit-out
• Handling mechanical repairs yourself, and coordinating external suppliers on bigger jobs
• Tyres: inspections, changes, fitting and balancing
• Preparing and taking vehicles for CoF, managing timely repairs and compliance
• Keeping parts and tools stocked and accurately recorded, minimising downtime
• Campervan interior repairs: plumbing, electrics, fixtures and components
• Installing new campervan interiors over our winter low season — hands-on, full training provided
   

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 2+ years as a qualified mechanic or technician
• Confident using diagnostic tools and solving problems independently
• Excellent hands-on skills — great with tools, repairs and practical problem-solving
• Solid time management — you know what's urgent and what can wait
• Strong communication — you work well with people and enjoy being part of a team
• High standards and attention to detail — you get the job done once, done right
• A "get it done" mentality — happy to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
• A growth mindset — always learning, open to feedback, ready to step up
   

BONUS POINTS FOR

• Campervan, car rental, tourism or customer service experience
• Fit-out or interior install experience
• Trade skills: carpentry, cabinetry, plumbing, electrics
• CoF compliance knowledge
• Solid tech / IT skills
• Travel or overseas experience
• A love of campervans or camping adventures

• $30–$36/hr, based on experience
• Annual bonus of up to 12% of gross earnings
