Forestry Labourers

What the work involves

You'll be working on steep hillside terrain alongside another crew member, handling wire rope and chokers (approx. 15 kg) and rigging logs ready to be lifted by the skyline system. Days are long — expect to be on your feet for around 8 hours — and the ground underfoot will be rough, with large rocks and felled timber throughout the worksite.

What we're looking for

• Good physical fitness and stamina — this is demanding work
• Comfortable working on steep, uneven ground in all weather conditions
• A safe and careful attitude on site
• Ability to take direction and work well as part of a small team
• Experience in logging, forestry, or similar outdoor labouring is an advantage but not essential
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

What you'll need

• A current First Aid certificate is a bonus
• Full NZ work rights
• Happy to live on site Monday to Friday. All meals provided
