Assembly Technician

We are looking for a motivated Assembly Technician to join our client, a well-established, family-owned business specialising in the manufacture of precision products in the Franklin region.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, committed, and able to work independently when required
• Willingness to learn and follow processes accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to understand instructions clearly
• Experience in computer assembly (advantageous but not essential)

Key responsibilities:

• Assemble base parts and components into finished products
• Carry out pre-sales testing to ensure product quality and performance standards are met
• Assemble packaging and prepare pallets of completed products for dispatch
• Use handheld power tools for precise assembly tasks
• Read and follow measurements and technical instructions accurately
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and management to meet production targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, company standards, and quality requirements

Requirements:

• Full, valid driver’s licence
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Willingness to undergo training and develop technical skills

Work hours & remuneration:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Pay rate will be competitive and based on experience and skills.
