Dairy Farm Assistant

We are looking for a farm assistant to complete our team of 6. 

We milk 1300 cows near Dunsandel Just 30 mins from Ashburton 45 mins to Christchurch

Details:

• Furnished shared Accommodation provided at $200 per week includes power and wifi
• Roster - 7 on 3 off 8 on 3 off 

Role & Responsibilities:

• Daily milking (min 650 cows) and plant wash procedures
• Carry out general farm duties including stock movement and feeding
• Support animal health and welfare 
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and equipment standards
• Work collaboratively within a team to achieve farm targets

Requirements:

• Must have prior milking experience with cows
• A good level of English and Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and positive attitude
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Reliable transport for personal use and current driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Starting September ideally for 6 months but can be negotiated
