Dairy Farm Assistant

We are looking for one experienced person to work on our family owned dairy farm in the South Waikato at Waotu. 

You must be able to speak and communicate well in English and have a very good understanding of the English language so that you can understand and follow work instructions without difficulty. You must have a New Zealand work visa.

This position is for at least 3 months but may be for 6 months or longer. This is our very busy time on the dairy farm with cows having calves, calf handling and farm vehicles and machinery work so experience is important. You will be helping to milk up to 360 cows through a herringbone shed with cup removers. The position also includes doing other farm and property related jobs. You will be working with the farm manager and other relief staff. You will be required to ride a motorbike and a quad bike. 

The accommodation and power are available at a very reasonable rate. You will be paid a minimum of $2000 a fortnight but more depending experience and hours worked. You must have a full drivers license and be legally able to work in New Zealand.

We are approximately one hour from Taupo, Tauranga and Hamilton and 30 minutes to Matamata and Hobbiton but have two closer towns about 15 minutes away to get supplies.

The job is for no later than mid July start.
