Farm Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic assistant for our family dairy farm in Lumsden (1 hour from Queenstown) to join our team .

If you enjoy working outdoors, care for animals and being part of a hardworking team then this could be the perfect role for you.

Key responsibilities:

• Bringing cows from the paddock  to the milking shed.
• Assists with milking the cows.
• Cleaning cowshed and surroundings after milking.
• Setting op breaks in the paddocks for the cows.
• Assist with other jobs on the farm.

Requirements:

• Like to work on a dairy farm,some early starts.
• Having no problems to work in all weather conditions,
• Having a working holiday visa,
• Having a driving license,
• The ability to speak ,English or Dutch,
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team,
• Physically fit.
• Experience on a dairy farm or working with cattle is a plus but not essential.
• Have some experience driving tractors, is a bonus

 We offer:

• Paying an hourly rate + holiday pay,
