Hop Harvest March 2027

HOPS HARVEST 2027  25 Feb till 30 March (aprox)

2 x tractor drivers  -  must have experience with a trailer and be fit

2 x cutters  -  confident working at height and strong arms and back

1 x Process Operator - calm and helpful !!

1 x Kiln loader

1 x Bale press operator

The farm is in the historic village of Upper Moutere and require staff to assist to bring in the hops ! It is a small farm of 10Ha and we still hand cut and process manually.

You will be able to park up onsite and have access to a BBQ & outdoor area, hot outdoor shower, toilet, kitchen with microwave and fridge - all basic but free !!

We start early (7 am) and plan to finish around 3.30 - 4pm - finishing hours are dependent on hop variety - Sundays and rainy days are for enjoying, and we may work the occasional Sat.  The job is for approximately 5 weeks, and you must commit to the full season.

Preference given to people with a farm work background

You will have time to enjoy the beautiful Tasman region - 10 mins to beaches, 20 mins to Motueka or Richmond and if you tramp, walk or kayak there is plenty to discover.

I  am looking for fit, easy going staff that are able to communicate well, have good desision making skills and work well in a small team as we all rely on each other to work smoothly - a sense of humour and an enjoyment of beer would be an advantage !!

Please state which role you would like to apply for. 2 or three of the roles will suit a couple, each doing a seperate job. Looking forward to hearing from you and happy to answer questions.
