FEEDING CALVES AND BERRYFRUIT WORK

BEFORE THE BERRYFRUIT SEASON STARTS WE ARE FEEDING CALVES AND DOING ALOT OF ODD JOBS (HOURS ARE ABOUT 30 A WEEK MORE OR LESS)

NORMALLY THE MAIN SEASON IT IS ALL FOR PICKERS ALL IN TUNNELS AND ON TABLES.We are a berry farm so 95% of the work is berry picking during our main season (October to end of June) from October we start the berry season we have maintenance jobs. picking is strawberries, raspberries some figs, grape and tomatoes.

We grow all our strawberries up on tables and in tunnels so it is easier on the back but can still be hard work. Picking Berryfruit is the main job. 

We work 5 to 6 days per week during picking, we do pick when it is raining and we do other jobs in tunnel during the rain if there is any. Some times we do have to work out in the rain. We do have some other jobs (selling fruit helping around the farm) BUT everyone picks that is the main job. Hours can very but most of the time it is 8am until around 4.30pm OR until we finish the field we have to.

We also have Raspberries, Cherries, asparagus tomatoes Peppers grapes which is also in tunnels and up on beds. Which will be picked in their seasons.

Some of the other jobs to do around the farm also cleaning plants, cutting out the old berry bags, weeding cutting runners etc..

Pay will be minimum hourly rate plus 8% Holiday paid per hour and you get paid weekly (the Friday of the next week).. (which is $23.50 per hour plus 8%until April when it goes up)

Let me know when you can start we are looking for people that can stay  for around of about 5 weeks or more if you are interested and hard working

IF YOU STAY MORE THAN 8 WEEKS IN OUR CAMP SITE (in your van) WHEN WORKING ON OUR FARM WE WILL REFUND ALL YOUR CAMP SITE FEES FOR THE TIME THAT YOU ARE HERE. (8 weeks is $600 back plus fee site for the rest of the time you are here). We do have some cabin but you will transport (cabins are $90 and refund after 8 weeks is half of this)

New Zealand work visa IRD number NZ bank account  (WE DO NOT HELP WITH GETTING A WORK VISA)

MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OLD

When you can get here to our farm. ( i will ask you to turn up to the farm before 5pm on the day before you work)

To stay on the farm if in a van/car/tent  is $75 per van/car/tent  per week. or cabins $90 per week

We have showers, toilets, power, fridges, freezers and an indoor area to sit and eat.

Masterton has easy access to the Tararua Ranges (walks in the hills) many attractive river spots and beaches to visit in this area. We are close to Wellington and Palmerton North
