About Us

Goldenview Orchard is a small family-owned, spray-free orchard growing strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, asparagus, sweetcorn and paeonies.

We're looking for reliable seasonal workers to help prepare the orchard for the upcoming growing season.

Current work includes:

• Raspberry pruning and tying
• Removing old strawberry plants
• General orchard maintenance and preparation

As the season progresses there may also be opportunities for:

• Berry planting
• Fruit, vegetable and flower harvesting
• Packing and other general orchard work

No previous orchard experience is necessary. We are happy to train people who have a positive attitude, enjoy physical outdoor work and are keen to learn.

As we're a small team, the ability to work independently once trained, use initiative and maintain a high standard of work is just as important as previous experience.

What we're looking for:

• Reliable and hardworking
• Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions
• Physically fit
• Able to work unsupervised
• Take pride in doing a job well

Please note that work begins during winter in Central Otago, where mornings can be very cold and frosty. Warm clothing and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions are essential.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not available on the orchard. Year-round backpacker accommodation is available in Roxburgh, along with other accommodation options in the surrounding area.
