Stargazing Guide

Job type: Permanent part-time, 2 nights a week, or more for the right applicant.

Manuka Skies provides exciting stargazing tours in Hanmer Springs.  We are a small, family operated business with a passion for sharing the night skies.

We are looking for someone that also has a passion for the night sky to join us as we look to grow Astronomy in Hanmer Springs.

Our tours use a variety of high tech telescopes, from manual, to computer guided and astrophotography telescopes.

The ideal person will be reliable, trustworthy, able to speak in front of a group of people in an engaging and interesting way.  You will display a base knowledge of Astronomy, be keen to learn more about the wonders above and share that knowledge with our amazing guests.  You will ensure the safety of our guests is always paramount as we navigate the night skies.

This role involves being available for Weekends and public holidays.  Our tours are night time based so you will also be a keen evening person.

A clean, full NZ drivers licence will be highly beneficial to the right applicant, with the possibility of shuttle driving being a part of the role.
