Accom/activity Sales Receptionist

Join our team for the upcoming season.

We’re looking for a receptionist with a fantastic attitude to become part of our small, welcoming community at the head of Lake Pukaki, just 18km from Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. This is a 12-month commitment, or longer, ideal for someone who wants to put down roots in one of the most spectacular corners of New Zealand.

About us:

Glentanner Park Centre is the main Holiday Park, the birthplace of NZ Heli Ski, and the main base for the Helicopter Line flight-seeing trips in the Aoraki Mount Cook region. We’re located on Glentanner Station, a Merino Station and supplier of wool for Icebreaker and Smartwool clothing.

About you:

You genuinely love working with people and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You have great attention to detail and a knack for creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests.

You’re fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages would be a big plus, given our many international visitors.

You bring a smile to everything you do, even on the busy days

Bonus points for knowledge of South Island tourist destinations and the local area although full training is provided.

What you’ll be doing:

Welcoming and checking in guests.

Processing bookings and activity sales

Running sales in our retail store

Sharing local knowledge and recommendations with our guests to the area

Occasionally lending a hand to the rest of the team in other areas

You’ll have single private accommodation onsite with Wi-Fi

A front-row seat to some of the country’s most breathtaking scenery, and it’s a great base to explore from; but on that note, we’re in a remote location so having your own vehicle is recommended.
