Kiwifruit Orchard Maintenance

Hi everyone! 👋

We’re looking for 2 reliable backpackers to join our team for kiwifruit orchard maintenance work in Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty.

📅 Start date: Tuesday 27 October

🌱 What the work involves:

• Graft care
• Cane training
• Weed removal
• Leader work
• General kiwifruit orchard maintenance

🌿 Keen to learn? You’ll gain hands-on experience and learn lots about kiwifruit plants and how they’re grown!

💰 Pay: $24 per hour + 8% holiday pay

✅ Requirements:

• Good enough English to understand and follow instructions (Spanish speakers are also considered)
• Your own reliable transport
• Minimum commitment of 1 month
• Physically fit and comfortable bending, climbing ladders and working outdoors in the sun. Some blocks have young plants with little or no shade.

🚐 Ideally, we’re looking for a couple or two friends travelling together in a van who can relocate to the Edgecumbe area easily.
