Machine Operator Print Finishing

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused Machine Operator to join our print-production team at Print Guys in Eden Terrace.

You’ll operate a range of print-finishing equipment, including platens, perfect binders, folding machines, Duplos and other production machinery.

Previous experience with these machines is an advantage but isn’t essential. We’re looking for someone who is mechanically minded, process-driven, quick to learn and able to work accurately in a busy production environment.

Some machines can be left running once they have been set up correctly. You’ll be expected to use that time productively by setting up or operating other equipment while continuing to monitor each job. This role suits someone who takes initiative, stays organised and can safely manage several tasks without sacrificing quality.

$23.95/hour + 8% holiday page = $25.86/hour

• Set up and operate print-finishing machinery
• Operate platens, perfect binders, folding machines and Duplo equipment
• Learn to operate other production machinery
• Manage multiple machines and jobs efficiently when required
• Follow job instructions and established production processes accurately
• Monitor equipment and make basic adjustments
• Check finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency
• Meet production targets and deadlines
• Identify and report machinery or quality issues
• Pack completed jobs and prepare them for dispatch
• Assist with general print-production and finishing tasks
• Keep machinery and work areas clean, organised and safe

Experience in print finishing, printing, manufacturing, packaging, machine operation or paper handling would be useful, but training can be provided for the right person.

Standard hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime required when necessary.

This position is available for an immediate start.
