Chicken Farm Workers

Chicken Farmers Required - Tasman region

The work is located in the Tasman region about 40 minutes' drive outside of central Nelson. Transport from Hope is provided but you must have own transport to Hope. Meeting time in Hope is 6:30am sharp.

Workdays stated below:

• Tue 21 Jul - 22/23 Jul potentially (work dependant)
• Tue 28 Jul - 29/30 Jul potentially (work dependant)
• Tue 4 Aug - 5/6 Aug potentially (work dependant)

Hours of work:  7:00 - 16:30 (subject to change on the day)

***Must be in Nelson/Tasman already, as you need to meet us in the office for a H&S induction.***

Job Details:

• First week involves a cull. Applicants will be transporting the cull into bins. No culling required by you.
• Cleaning sheds.
• Moving and handling chickens.
• Applicants must be fit & strong and able to handle manual tasks.
• Must be reliable and can follow instructions.
• Work environment is dirty, dusty and a little smelly.
• Requires reliable transport to Hope.
• Appropriate PPE gear will be provided.

NOTE: If you have previously worked with chickens, pigs, ducks, or other avian wildlife (parks included), you need to have a 48-hour stand down period before working on this job. Please raise this with the consultant.
