2people Farm Assist And Calf Rearer

We are seeking one or two dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team.

Position one is a Dairy Farm Assistant. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the health and productivity of the dairy herd, maintaining farm equipment, and supporting overall farm management.

Position two is Calf Rearer. This position will work along side our two current calf rearers to support the growth and development of our calves during the calf rearing season.

The ideal candidates will possess a combination of practical skills, knowledge, and interpersonal qualities to contribute to the success of our farm operation. Both candidates must be physically fit and must be comfortable lifting calves, bags of minerals or grain and other heavy items in a safe and controlled manner.

These are both fixed term positions but may be extended for the right person/people.

Applicants should have the following Qualities:

• Experience with livestock
• Physically fit 
• Can collaborate and work successfully with other team members
• Ability to problem solve
• Strong work ethic
• Self motivation and willingness to learn

Position start date flexible from now. Must be able to start before July 15. 

Minimum 30 hours per week

Calf rearer roster: 5 on, 2 off

Farm assistant roster: 6 on, 2 off

Two 1 bedroom houses available on farm available. 

Rent = $160 each a fortnight includes power and internet*
