Farm Help

Hey there 

We are looking for some help on the farm for a single person. If you love being outside in a beautiful part of NZ surrounded by animals then this could be the place for you - YOU Must be able to speak and understand English.  We ideally are looking for some help with outdoor jobs. We have lots of different jobs, firewood, weeding, general vegetable gardening work, feeding animals, maybe painting and general tidy up.Our property is on 10 acres with a lease property next door of another 7 acres, we have 7 cows, 3 horses, 2 kelpies, 2 cats and lots of ducks and chickens. You will have your own little sleepout with a very comfortable double bed complete with electric blanket and lovely heater and a beautiful view down the valley. Wakefield is a quaint wee village on the outskirts of Nelson it’s on the bus route so easy access to Richmond and Nelson. Our village has a 4 square supermarket, chemist, bakery and a couple of cafes so plenty of good coffee and our place is only 3km from the village.  We are looking for mature, independent problem solvers that want to come and eat fabulous food and be part of our family for 1-2 weeks.  We are a family of 4 people, Mum & Dad, one teenager who is 17 years old and elderly Mum next door. We ask for 4 hours solid work a day in return for all your food and accommodation. Your job will be varied but it would be great if you wanted to cook a meal but not a requirement. It would be great if you like dogs and are happy walking them at the back of our property.  You must be able to work unsupervised and tidy up after yourself. Make contact, let’s talk. Sue & Rob
