Dairy Farm Assistant

We are looking for a motivated Farm Assistant to join our friendly team of 8

Position Starting in 20th of July could be 3 months or 6 months, minimum 3 months required

We run a big farming operation 1500 cows in an 80 bale rotary in Ashburton. The farm is located 5 minutes away from Ashburton town.

Looking for someone over our busy calving season, we require someone with a great work ethic attention to detail, physically fit and can do attitude to look after our girls. 

Job description is but not limited to:  milking, picking up calves, drafting cattle, identifying sick animals, weed control, irrigation and general farm work

Experience milking and riding motorbike preferred but not essential if you have the right attitude and strong work ethic. 

Shared 3 bedroom house available, you have your own room.  

6 on 2 off roster
