Calf Rearer

We run a large calf rearing operation (Top Notch Calves) and are looking for people to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract starting July.  We have two fully furnished cottages available on-farm for rent.  We have a great team of people already on farm.  These positions would suit two couples, or a group of friends who are wanting to earn some money before travelling over summer in NZ.   The roster will be 11 days on 3 days off.  Full training will be given.  The farm is centrally located, and only 1 hour from Rotorua and Mount Mounganui.  And 1 1/2 hours from Waitomo or Raglan.

This position involves all aspects of calf rearing including:

• Feeding milk and meal
• Weighing calves
• Drafting calves
• Administration of animal remedies
• Tagging Calves
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Setting up sheds and equipment
• Cleaning up sheds and equipment
