This campervan, called Nilson, has served me very well throughout my New Zealand journey. I'm only the second backpacker to own it and it runs without any issues whatsover. The campervan is not self-contained but is perfect for a solo traveler or WHV who wants to combine camping and hostels.
Some specs:
- FWD, automatic gearbox, petrol 91
- 50L fuel tank so you can fill up at the cheap spots and don't have to worry running out.
- 5 chairs if the mattress is removed or folded in half, perfect if you make some friends
- A comfy 20cm thick mattress, better than most hostels and can comfortably sleep two people.
- Cooking supplies, camping chair, storage boxes, spare bed linnen, curtains, lights and tools are all included so directly ready to camp!
