Coromandel Town Backpackers & Hostels
Coromandel Town has a charming mix of Victorian architecture, beaches and native forests. Set within a natural harbour the town (and region) takes it's name from the HMS Coromandel - a British Royal Navy ship that stopped here in 1820 to collect supplies. Must do things in the area include taking in the amazing scenery by sea kayak.
