Do Some Farming/ Enjoy Our Region

Hi My name is Barry. My wife Nicky and I have 390 cows we care for. They all calve in spring (end July to Sep) and are fed mainly grass so remain outside all year round. Things we do: Milk the cows through a 44 bale rotary shed, collect cows from the paddock, clean the cow shed, break feed grass with electric fences, spray weeds, ect. The vacant roles entail mainly milking the cows.

We have vacant farm assistant positions on our team starting 15th of July. We prefer people to stay at least 4 months. Furnished, shared, accommodation is available. It would be good if you had a car and license to get around.

Having some milking and farming experience would be preferred, as would being able to ride a 2 wheel motorbike. Having a good attitude, be hard working, be a good listener and learning fast is a must. A high level of spoken English is also required. 

We love it when people take an interest in what we do and we are more than willing to share what we know. We also love meeting new people and learning new cultures. Having done a bit of travel ourselves we enjoy hearing of other peoples experiences

We are close to so many great places to visit. Waitomo caves is only 20 mins down the road. Taupo, Rotorua, Ruapehu ski fields, and both east and west coasts beaches are all under 2.5hrs away.
