Skilled Labourer

Tradestaff Queenstown is looking for an experienced Skilled Labourer to join our team in Queenstown. If you've got solid construction experience, know your way around a worksite, and can hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.

The Role
As a Skilled Labourer, you'll be trusted to work alongside qualified tradespeople across residential, commercial and civil sites. Duties may include:
 

• Using a wide range of hand and power tools confidently
• Assisting with carpentry, concrete, framing, formwork, fit-out and finishing work
• Site set-up, measuring, cutting and installing materials
• Operating machinery and equipment (where qualified)
• Reading and following plans, drawings or site instructions
• Maintaining a safe, productive and tidy worksite
• Taking ownership of your work

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Skilled Labourer, Hammerhand, Trade Assistant or similar construction role
• Confidence using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Good understanding of construction site health and safety
• Physically fit and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Reliable transport to get to site
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Great references from previous employers

Bonus points if you have

• WTR, Forklift, EWP or Site Safe
• Working at Heights, Confined Space or other industry tickets
• Experience operating machinery
• Experience across multiple trades
