Commis Chef - Soho Hotel Auckland
- To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day kitchen operation
- Prepare and cook raw food materials to the required standard.
- Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand but avoid waste.
- Assist with food service including preparing dishes and sides
- Ensure recipes are followed and dishes are prepared to our high standards in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure individual section and responsibilities are carried out to meet daily, function and special requirements.
- Clean preparation and service areas daily. Cleaning other areas as required.
- To assist with dishwashing if no kitchen hand is working
- Read, understand and follow the Food Control Plan daily.
- Inform Exec Chef/Sous Chef/CDP of any stock or ordering needed for the next day.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure all maintenance problems are promptly reported to senior chefs.
- Any other duties the employer may reasonably require.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve team goals through strong teamwork
- Treat all staff fairly and with courtesy.
