About Bird in the Hand:

We’re a brand-new food start-up testing our proof-of-concept container kitchen on Colombo Street. The mission? Redefine fast food — simpler, healthier, and cheaper for Kiwis. Our focus: rotisserie chicken done properly, with a small, tight menu built for flavour, nutrition and affordability.

If we can prove the concept then the next step is to expand through Christchurch and hopefully beyond — we're backed by three investors including a former All Blacks captain with ambition to make Bird in the Hand a household name.

What you'll be doing

• Prepping and serving rotisserie chicken, potatoes and sides
• Taking orders and chatting with customers
• Keeping the kitchen and service area clean and humming
• Helping out wherever needed through what should be a fun first summer in business!
