Farmhand Kerikeri July Start

Dairy farm work available in the beautiful Bay of Islands. We are located 15min drive from Kerikeri township, and 20min to the beach at Paihia.

We are seeking a motivated and fit outdoorsy person to join us on our family run dairy farm. You’d be someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, understands the importance of milk quality, and cares about animals. Many of our previous backpackers have had a background working with horses. This is a physical job, so you will need to have a good level of fitness. 

The main jobs will be milking the cows and feeding calves morning and afternoon but other jobs on the farm could include: getting cows in,  repairs and maintenance, fencing and weed control when required.

Roster of five days on, two days off. Hours are 35-45 per week.

The period of work is for a minimum of two months (early July to early September). Exact start dates to be discussed.

Cheap accommodation is provided in a warm and cosy shared house on farm. (You get your own bedroom and share the kitchen/lounge/bathroom with other backpackers).

You need to have your own transport as the farm is a 15min drive to town, and there are no public transport options. Please do not apply if you do not have your own car. 

This job is not suitable for couples as we operate a roster system, and each person has different days off.
