Looking for your next adventure in one of New Zealand's most iconic alpine villages?

We're looking for two fantastic team members to join The Godley Hotel in beautiful Lake Tekapo.

Positions Available

1. Full-Time Receptionist

A dedicated front office role focused on delivering outstanding guest service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of Reception.

2. Full-Time Hotel All-Rounder (Reception Focus)

A varied role with Reception as the primary responsibility, while also assisting other hotel departments during busy periods.

Both positions are available to start end of July/Aug

We're ideally looking for people who can commit to at least 6 months (although many come for a season and end up staying much longer!).

Your Main ResponsibilitiesReception
  • Guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Managing reservations and guest enquiries
  • Processing payments
  • Providing local recommendations and exceptional customer service
  • Assisting with administrative Reception duties
Hotel All-Rounder Duties (primarily for the All-Rounder role, and occasionally assisting across the team)
  • Supporting Housekeeping during busy periods
  • Assisting in our café with simple food service, clearing tables, or running coffees
  • Helping wherever needed to ensure a great guest experience

Every day is different, and teamwork is at the heart of everything we do.

Hourly Rate: $25 to $27 per hour, depending on experience.

About You

You'll be friendly, reliable, and enjoy working with people. Ideally, you'll have:

  • A professional and welcoming attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • A willingness to support different departments when required

Previous Reception or hospitality experience is a must.
We value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
