Evening Staff Village General Store

Enjoy the region by day, make a living by night.  This is the perfect position for adventurers and snow sports enthusiasts.

We require front to house staff to join our busy General Store, Cafe and Take Away operation here in Lake Hawea, a small village on the shores of a beautiful alpine lake just 20 minutes from Wanaka township.

Open 7 days from 730am - 8pm during autumn and winter, we have a great group of loyal local customers and take pride in the supply of quality coffee.  We are positioned as a resupply point for Te Araroa Trail walkers, and the area is considered the gateway to many wilderness experiences in the Southern Alps.

What's on offer?

Front of House - Afternoon / Evening shifts
- Rostered hours - 12 or 4pm start / finish by 9pm
- Customer counterservice
- Taking takeaway orders
- Working across cafe and general store
- Clean down and restocking duties

Lake Hawea is 15km drive from Wanaka township, candidates require their own transport and accommodation.  'The Camp'  in Lake Hawea offer local and longer term site rentals and some accommodation options. 

Positions commence immediately, and we prefer at least 12 weeks availability from start date.  Foreign applicants require a valid Work VISA.
