Apple Picking

Apple pickers are welcome on our friendly owner operated orchard from early/mid February until the end of April. Before employing you will need to be a legal NZ resident, or hold a current Working Holiday Visa.

We are situated just outside of Mapua/Nelson. Work is undertaken most week days, but occasional breaks can be expected owing to wet weather or crop maturity delays. We try and avoid working 7 days per week, but you must be happy to work if crop maturity or weather delays is a factor for us to catch up with harvesting.

You are paid for what you pick. If you haven’t picked apples before, please understand it is hard physical work, with ladder work involved, but in saying that, there is good money to be made for people prepared to work.

On site accommodation is available with self contained cabins with facilities (kitchen, shower, laundry,) The charge for this $60.00 per week.

We have many years experience employing people traveling and working their way around NZ.
